We deliver a comprehensive array of housing services focused on empowering adults, veterans, and families to sustain their independence.
Our housing services include Recovery Housing, Shelter Housing, Transitional Housing, Supportive Housing, and Permanent Supportive Housing, all designed to address the specific needs of our clients.

Recovery Housing
Talbert House offers Recovery Housing for men and women in Hamilton and Brown counties. Our sober living environments provide a structured and supportive setting where residents can maintain their sobriety while rebuilding their lives. These services include peer support, community service groups, and connections to community resources, all aimed at building accountability and community among residents.
Harmony House - For men in Brown County.
Pelham Place - For women in Hamilton County.
Section Center - For men in Hamilton County
2640 Victory Parkway - For men, women and families in Hamilton County with an opiate use disorder.
Vine Street - For men in Hamilton County with an opiate use disorder.

Shelter Housing
We have short-term Shelter Housing for men and women in Hamilton County who have a mental health diagnosis and are receiving case management services.
Our shelter housing offers a safe and supportive environment where residents receive essential care, including medication monitoring, daily living skills training, behavior monitoring, and access to supportive services. Additionally, housing assistance and 24-hour supervision are provided to ensure the well-being and stability of our residents.
For veterans and their families, the Health Care for Homeless Veterans (HCHV) program offers shelter, food, transportation, and case management. This program is specifically designed to address the unique needs of veterans, with referrals made through the Cincinnati Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Referrals for our Shelter Housing services must be made through the Mental Health Access Point by calling (513) 558-8888.

Supportive Housing
Community Transition Program (CTP)
Housing benefit that provides a range of recovery-oriented support, driven by the individual’s needs and goals, including; Rapid Rehousing and Supportive Housing services.
Permanent Supportive Housing
Permanent supportive housing with case management services for formerly homeless persons with a history of substance use and/ or mental health disabilities. Serving men, women, and families with rental and housing assistance through housing subsidies and search assistance.
» Referrals must come through Strategies to End Homelessness Rapid Re-Housing Progressive Engagement Provides short-term rental assistance and case management to adults experiencing homelessness in Hamilton County.

Rental Assistance Program
Provides rental and/or utility assistance to Hamilton County residents who are low-income and at risk of eviction. » Referrals can be made by emailing RAP@talberthouse.org or calling 513-338-8596
Returning Home Ohio (RHO) Permanent supportive housing for men and women in Hamilton and Warren counties returning from an Ohio prison with a mental illness or HIV positive status. Offers housing case management and connections to community supports. » Ex-offenders eligible up to 120 days post release
Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) Serves single veterans and families with a veteran head of household in Hamilton County and 9 surrounding counties in Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.
Provides case management services and temporary financial assistance.
» Veteran household must have an Other than Dishonorable Discharge, low-income, and be homeless or at risk of homelessness

Transitional Housing
Doan Street Provides transitional housing to single men and women in Warren and Clinton Counties.
» Referrals must be approved by the Warren/Clinton County MHRSB
Parkway Center
Transitional housing center for homeless men and women in Hamilton County. Serves veterans, chronically homeless and and case management to assist in finding permanent housing and employment.
» Referrals are coordinated through Central Access Point or by contacting the site directly
Veteran Housing
We offer transitional and permanent supportive housing, as well as supportive housing services to veterans.

Barbara
After experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges forced her into isolation Barbara was referred to Freeda Kay III, a Talbert House permanent supportive housing program allowing women who experienced trauma to live independently with their children. Barbara says there is an “overflow of blessings” at Freeda Kay III. With her new support structure in place Barbara is now focusing on being a happy, healthy and productive adult. She recently enrolled in school for TV and Radio Broadcasting with a clear goal, “I want to be able to get on my feet and bring awareness to mental health issues.”
