Empowering Youth with Support from The Daniel and Susan Pfau Foundation

CINCINNATI – Talbert House is pleased to announce a generous $25,000 grant from The Daniel and Susan Pfau Foundation to launch a Youth Peer Support program. This initiative will address the need for social and emotional support among young individuals aged 5-21 with mental health and substance use challenges.

The program aims to empower youth, enabling them to take control of their lives and transition successfully into adulthood. By sharing personal experiences, it seeks to foster hope, reduce stigma, and provide support within youth-serving systems. Led by two certified Youth Peer Support Specialists, the program will offer non-clinical assistance to 100 young people from Hamilton County.

"Talbert House is grateful for the support from The Daniel and Susan Pfau Foundation, which will fund essential aspects of our program. This will directly benefit our clients by fostering peer connections and addressing the isolation and stigma they often face,” said Jeremy Brown, Vice President of Mental Health.
