Talbert House Increases Access to Integrated Care in Brown County

Talbert House is increasing access to behavioral health and primary care in Brown County through a newly constructed 4,730 square foot facility. The facility offers professional integrated healthcare services by providing access to behavioral health treatment and primary care in one convenient location to adults, youth and families.

Inside the clinic are offices for peer recovery coaches and treatment professionals as well as dedicated spaces for group counseling and health exams. Providers can connect, communicate and collaborate on treatment plans for each client and better serve the needs of the community through a continuum of care. The new clinic is open now and treating patients.

“Rural communities often have little to no access to primary care, behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment,” said Neil Tilow, Talbert House President/CEO. “By directly linking these services, we will alleviate the stress and anxiety patients may experience when searching for quality health care.”

“The Brown County Board of Mental Health & Addictions Services supported this project because the need for integrated healthcare - access of primary care, behavioral health, and substance use disorder treatment - is critical to the overall health of our community,” said Deanna Vietze, Executive Director of Brown County Board of Mental Health and Addiction Services.

The new Mt. Orab facility is a collaboration with the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services and the Brown County Board of Mental Health and Addiction Services. Additional funding has been secured through the generosity of Deaconess Associations Foundation, L&L Nippert Charitable Foundation and United Health Care to support the project.
