The Center for Health & Human Services Research shares findings from 2020

CINCINNATI – The Center for Health and Human Services Research (CHSSR) has published the 2020 Annual Report. The CHHSR supports Talbert House through research, analysis and advocacy of science-based practices to best support clients.

In a letter to stakeholders, Director Kimberly Sperber writes, “CHHSR staff are driven by the belief that integration of scientific evidence into daily program operations is necessary for social service agencies to fully achieve their missions of improving the lives and communities of those they serve. As researchers, we are fortunate to be embedded in a practice agency that shares this same belief.”

Talbert House’s mission of empowering children, adults and families to live healthy, safe and productive lives guides the CHHSR’s selection of research and quality improvement projects. This past year, the CHHSR continued to develop research and technical assistance efforts regarding individuals and communities disproportionately impacted by the opioid epidemic.

The CHHSR’s work would not be possible without partnerships with front-line staff responsible to delivering evidence-based care, funders, policymakers, trade associations and academic research collaborators. Read the full report here for a more in-depth look at the research conducted this year.
